Welcome to another reboot of my writing space. I've had many in 40 years of writing. Staying on top of the ever-changing media landscape requires it.
I've been a writer-for-hire for decades. In addition to writing for over 250 client companies, I wrote the Curious Elder newsletter on the Substack platform during the COVID shutdown and the blog Cycling Nirvana a few years before that in this same space.
I’m a road cyclist, Nordic walker, DIYer, humanist, husband, father, grandfather, and caretaker, and I support small businesses. My interests include philosophy, science, photography, technology, and gardening, among other things.
I write on four platforms: this blog, Medium, Mastodon, and Bluesky. I write about life and living, noteworthy observations, and the experience of aging.
All four platforms are free. And each is free of advertising, fake news, sensationalism, and clickbait. My words are my own; I do not use AI. Occasionally, I may use an AI-generated illustration, but it is always noted.
